62M ton
E-waste in the world
A record 62 million tonnes (Mt) of e-waste was produced in 2022, Up 82% from 2010; On track to rise another 32%, to 82 million tonnes, in 2030
847k ton
E-waste in Turkiye
The amount of e-waste produced in Türkiye in 2019 was calculated as 847 thousand tons and the e-waste recycling rate is approximately 6%.
22.3%
Recycled e-waste
It has been documented that 22.3% of the e-waste mass was properly collected and recycled in 2022.
1%
Recycyle of the rare earth element
Just 1% of rare earth element demand is met by e-waste recycling.

R&D Center Activities

Demcore Technology focus on recycling printed circuit boards (PCBs), which are found inside most gadgets.

One ton of PCBs contains;

  • 200 kg of copper
  • 0.4 kg of silver
  • 0.09 kg of gold.

Think about tomorrow!

According to The Global E-waste Monitor 2024, global e-waste generation is increasing by 2.6 million tonnes each year and is projected to reach 82 million tonnes by 2030. The report emphasizes that if countries can raise e-waste collection and recycling rates to 60% by 2030, the benefits – including reduced risks to human health – would exceed costs by over $38 billion.
